CommUNITY Walk: Thursday, April 23, 2009
A CommUNITY Walk, sponsored by Restoring the Soul and the Buddhist Coalition, was held on Thursday, April 23 at noon. It was organized on the inspiration of Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi as an opportunity for all sectors of the Boulder community to acknowledge the current pervasive challenges and deep concerns for the economy as well as recognize our community resources for positive change. A gathering of representatives of congregations and service agencies walked to give a voice to a common commitment to help one another through these difficult times. The walk ended at the Court House lawn with talks by Rabbi Zalman and Boulder County Commissioner Cindy Domenico.
